Thanks for reading this blog and following along. I’m the author of this blog and I’m a medical doctor. So is my weight management physician, Rami Bailony, MD.

The purpose of this blog is to document my personal journey to get fit over the next 90 days. This is not a “DIY/follow along” health hack. Any person interested in beginning a weight loss regimen or trying any of the strategies mentioned in this blog, should consult with his or her own medical provider. Don’t even think about doing this on your own. VLCDs can pose serious health risks to some people and require close health monitoring by a medical professional. Consult with your doctor to find the right weight management plan. If you think you or someone you know might have an eating disorder, help is available online.

For obese people, losing weight can be one step in helping forestall the development of more serious chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. If you feel your doctor may be biased against obese patients, talk to your doctor about this study, which shows doctors are 35% less likely to establish emotional rapport with overweight and obese patients than with their normal-weight patients — then get connected with a doctor who will work with you as a collaborator and partner in your journey to fitness.

Remember the information presented in this blog is not medical advice. It’s the story of one person. That person is me.
